The citrus gardens of Campidano in bloom

In the spring of Campidano and Sulcis, the air is unbearably beautiful: millions of citrus flowers — orange, lemon, mandarin, citron — bloom simultaneously creating a perfume that can be smelled for kilometers.

Meli De Sardigna's bees have been working these blooms for generations, collecting precious nectar from flowers that smell of Mediterranean summer and sun.

Sardinian zagara honey has a peculiarity: it is almost white, creamy, with an intense citrus fragrance that has nothing to do with the zagara honeys produced in Sicily or Spain. The Sardinian terroir gives unique aromatic notes — fresher, more persistent, more complex.
