Sardinia:a unique ecosystem
Sardinia is the second largest island of the Mediterranean, but above all one of the areas of greatest biodiversity in Europe. Isolated from the continent for millions of years, it has developed flora and fauna that exist nowhere else in the world.
The Endemic Flora
Over 200 plant species are endemic to Sardinia — they exist only in Sardinia, or in Sardinia and Corsica. These plants produce nectars with unique chemical compositions, which are reflected in honeys with organoleptic characteristics irreproducible elsewhere.
Protected Territories
Our apiaries are positioned in protected or adjacent areas: Gennargentu National Park, Porto Conte Regional Park, Geominerario Park, SCI and SPA areas of the Natura 2000 network. Uncontaminated environments, far from intensive cultivation and pollution.
Our Apiaries
Twelve apiaries distributed across the entire island, selected to maximize floral diversity. From the coast to the Gennargentu massif, from the Campidano plains to the Sulcis cliffs — each apiary produces honeys with unique characteristics.
